Thanks heaps to everyone who hosted the band!! We loved the weather Melbourne turned on for us
The trip was a great success, starting with our Friday night with Empower in Melbourne.GMF played a set, made new friends and enjoyed the hospitality.. congratulations to Liam on getting married!! The Sunday morning Cafe Church at Living Streams was awesome.. the people really opened up to the band and message from Tony..it was great to hear people feedback about being inspired by the day.. thanks Michael and Rob for organising.. Our schools started on a chilly Tuesday morning, bumping in meant..FIND the heater and turn it on FULL!! We had a great morning at Whitehorse Primary performing our Values Seminar to 2 classes of kids..they went absolutely nuts, it was hard to hear the band from all the screaming.. inbetween the gigs, the band got to hang out with old friends, go to the movies and shop until it was time to drive to Paynseville. We were surprised with the keys to a holiday home on the canal!! what a home.. the first night we were greeted by a couple of dolphins..amazing! Our first school concert as early Friday morning and it rocked! The school opened up to the band, it’s music and it’s story..and also our Values seminar was well received.
We geared up for a Friday night concert in the footy club and we had a blast..it was good to see the kids from the school turn up on a cold Friday night.. all up it was a great success and look forward to working again with this community of people.
Driving back to Melbourne, with a couple of the team feeling sick with a head cold and sniffles we were looking forward to our final Sunday with Faith Church in Dandenong.Sunday morning with the kids and Sunday evening with the main church.. It’s always good to see old faces and friends, and also performing the GMF story and music to a new audience… the response was awesome..they made us feel at home.. the drive back is always welcome, it’s good to get home!
Well, along the way we collected names for our GMF raffle, and will be drawing that this month and posting out a pack worth over $70.00!! We will keep you posted..
Thanks again and Keep Life REal!
